0.5 MH TO 50 MH RANGE, 60 ADC

L/C Magnetics can provide AC and DC variable gapped inductors. An example of a DC variable gapped inductor with multiple taps is shown below.
Specification:

• Variable Gapped Inductor, 0.5 mH to 50 mH ± 15 %, 60 ADC, P/N 5142L1
• Open core and coil; 15”W x 15”D x 13”H approx.
• Four taps are provided. Nominal values of the taps are:
  • L1,2 = 0.50 mH ± 15%, 60 ADC
  • L1,3 = 10.0 mH ± 15%, 60 ADC
  • L1,4 = 25.0 mH ± 15%, 60 ADC
  • L1,5 = 50.0 mH ± 15%, 60 ADC
• Gap adjustment capability is provided.
• If Gap is increased, inductance value will decrease accordingly.
• If Gap is decreased, inductance value will increase accordingly.
• Gapping material will be provided into 5 equally spaced gaps.

The details of the variable gapped inductor are shown below:

The unit is provided with taps for four nominal values. Also, the gap can be increased or decreased to revise the inductance.
